Book
Can I choose a specific pitch?
Yes. For pitches, cabins and cyclist rooms you choose your own pitch in the booking, by number. Once you take it to checkout, it's reserved just for you for about ten minutes, and once you've paid it's booked for good. We won't simply move you elsewhere, only at your request or in a genuine exceptional case. On the tent meadow you choose the size of your tent, and the booking system assigns you the right area when you book.
How late can I book?
Online up to the day of arrival, as long as something is free. The 2027 season can be booked from 1 April 2027 to 3 October 2027. Last-minute, you pay online by card. Only if you want to pay by bank transfer do you need to book at least 21 days before arrival.
How long can I book online for?
Up to 21 nights in a row. If you'd like to stay longer, write to us and reception will set it up.
What is the minimum stay?
On pitches and the tent meadow, at least two nights; in the cabins, three. The ten cyclist rooms are available from just one night. In early and late season, some cabins are available from two nights. The booking works out what applies for your dates and shows you straight away.
Can I bring my dog?
On the pitches, yes, and it costs nothing. From 16.05 to 15.09, a maximum of 15 dogs are allowed on the site at the same time. A maximum of 2 dogs per booking. You can see directly in the booking whether there's still room for your dates. Dogs are not allowed on the tent meadow or in the cabins. Dogs must always be on a lead on the site, and they are not allowed in the water here. There is a dog bathing spot a little further west at the Seegarten.
Is there room for my motorhome if it's over seven metres?
Yes, there are dedicated pitches for that. Additional costs may apply for vehicles over seven metres. Choose the right vehicle size in the booking, and it will only show you pitches where you will really fit.
Is my pitch safe while I book?
Yes. As soon as you take a pitch to checkout, it's reserved for you for about ten minutes, and nobody else can book it in that time. If you cancel or the time runs out, it becomes available again automatically.
Will I get a confirmation?
Yes, straight after booking by email, with an invoice and your booking code, also as a QR code for the wallet on your phone. The link in the email takes you to your guest account.
Do you take groups and school classes?
We no longer accept youth groups and stag or hen parties from the 2022 season, not even in the cabins. School classes are welcome if at least three teachers or supervisors come along. You confirm this when making the group booking.
Are there permanent pitches?
All permanent pitches are taken. The waiting time would be well over ten years, so we don't keep a waiting list.
Changing and cancelling
How late can I change my booking?
In the guest account up to the day before arrival, as often as you like: date, pitch or scope. Moving and extending is possible within the same season and up to 21 nights; reception can move your booking to the next year for you. From the day of arrival, reception changes the date and pitch. You can still adjust people, vehicle and arrival time yourself even then.
What happens if I have to cancel?
Free up to 90 days before arrival; for online payments we keep only a two per cent handling fee. After that on a sliding scale: up to 60 days 30 per cent, 59 to 11 days 50 per cent, 10 to 1 day 80 per cent, on the day of arrival or if you don't cancel 100 per cent. You always get the tourist tax back in full. You can cancel yourself in the guest account up to the day before arrival, and the confirmation with your refund arrives by email.
Does cancelling get cheaper if I postpone first?
No. The cancellation scale always uses your original, earliest arrival date, not the new one. Postponing remains possible at any time, though, and you can still cancel afterwards.
My account
What can I do myself in My account?
Almost everything to do with your stay: view, change, postpone or cancel your booking, add travel companions, vehicle and pets, view your invoice and pay outstanding amounts, order bread rolls and read news from the site. You don't have to call or wait until reception is open.
How do I get into my account?
Through the link in your confirmation email, or via My account at the top of the page. You can sign in with email and password, with Google or with Apple.
Can I leave later?
Yes, for a surcharge until 15:00 or 17:00, as long as nobody is due to take over your pitch on the day of departure. You book late check-out online, in the guest account or at reception.
Price and payment
When and how do I pay?
The full amount straight away when you book online, by card or wallet. No deposit, no final payment on site. If you book early, you can also pay by bank transfer. Anything you order during your stay, such as bread rolls, goes on the bill at the end.
What does the tourist tax cost and what do I get for it?
3,30 € per person per night. It gets you the Bodenseecard West, with free travel by bus and train in the designated zones. You also get discounts on boat hire, bike hire, wildlife and leisure parks, and free entry to the Seegarten concerts.
Is electricity included in the price?
Yes, on a pitch the electric hook-up is included in the nightly price, together with two people. There are also hook-ups on the tent meadow; for those you need a CEE adapter and a cable reel.
Are there discounts?
In early and late season, ten per cent from three nights in a row. The same discount applies if you can show proof that you arrived by bus or train. The booking deducts both automatically, so you don't have to enter anything.
Arrival and stay
What address do I enter in my sat nav?
Strandweg 27, 78476 Allensbach. Not the house number from the legal notice: most sat navs would otherwise take you to the north car park, which is on the other side of the railway line.
When can I arrive and when do I have to leave?
Pitches and tent pitches from 12:00, cabins and cyclist rooms from 14:30. Departure by 11:00 in each case.
How does check-in work?
No paperwork: at reception, show the QR code from your confirmation email, from your invoice or from your Camping am See Pass in your wallet. We scan it, your booking comes up immediately, and you can head to your pitch. We'll email the Bodenseecard West to your phone at check-in.
What is the Camping am See Pass?
Your digital camping pass for Apple Wallet or Google Wallet. It shows your booking code and QR code, your booking details and notes from the site, and it updates itself. You show it at check-in and, for example, when buying laundry and shower tokens. It is not the same thing as the Bodenseecard West.
What if I arrive late in the evening?
Arrivals after 20:00 are not possible, not even in exceptional cases. Right in front of the site there are outside pitches for motorhomes and minibuses, at 21,00 € per night including two people and electricity, plus tourist tax. Outside pitches are not available for caravans. You check in the next morning, and if possible you'll then be given a pitch on the site.
Can I pre-order bread rolls?
Yes, conveniently in your guest account under Bread rolls, by 20:00 the evening before and up to a week in advance. You don't pay straight away; the rolls go on the bill at the end of your stay. You can cancel until 20:00 the evening before. You collect them the next morning from 8:00 at the kiosk.
Can I drive to my pitch?
For loading and unloading, yes; otherwise the site is car-free. There are paid car parks in front of it, and the fee is in the price list.
Is there Wi-Fi?
Yes, free across the whole site, including the tent meadow and the cabins.
Can I have a barbecue?
Yes, with charcoal or gas and a freestanding barbecue. Barbecue trays standing directly on the ground are not allowed. In the evening we tolerate fires in the fire bowl on the pebble beach, in limited numbers.
Is there a washing machine and a kitchen?
Both. The laundry room has two washing machines and two dryers; tokens are available at reception and at the kiosk. The communal kitchen with two hobs and two fridges is open to all guests, and there are also eight washing-up sinks with hot water.
How far is it to the washhouse?
No more than 150 metres from any pitch. From the tent meadow it's around 50 metres.
Can I eat here?
Yes, at the Seeküche restaurant right on the water: 40 seats inside, 80 on the terrace. In season, Seeküche is open daily from 12:00 to 20:00. There is also a kiosk with snacks and everyday essentials.
Is there a waste disposal station for motorhomes?
Yes. You can empty the chemical toilet and fill up with fresh water next to the entrance to the site. You can also empty cassettes behind the lounge.
When are quiet hours?
Please no more music from 22:00; from 24:00 strict quiet hours apply.
What is there to do on the site?
Our own bathing area with swimming spot, beach volleyball on the bathing area meadow, table tennis and a playground next to Seeküche. In the evening, fires are allowed in the fire bowl on the pebble beach.
How far is it to the village?
Around ten minutes on foot to the village centre, with supermarkets, a pharmacy and a post office. The station is also about ten minutes' walk away, and from there you're in Konstanz, Singen or Radolfzell in around 15 minutes.
Gift vouchers
What is the voucher valid for?
For everything you pay for with us: accommodation, people, tourist tax, bread rolls, shower tokens and the other extras, and also for the final bill when you leave. Just no cash in exchange.
How long is it valid?
Until 31 December of the third year after purchase. Until then any remaining value is kept, and you don't have to use it all at once.
How do I redeem it when booking?
At the payment step of the booking there's a "Redeem voucher" field. Type in the code, the amount is deducted, and you pay the rest by card. If the voucher covers everything, the booking is paid straight away.
What does the voucher have to do with My account?
In My account you can save the code once. The voucher then belongs to you and appears there as credit. It is applied when booking, when ordering bread rolls and when you leave, before card or cash. You can see the remaining value, validity and every redemption in your account.
Can I use several vouchers together?
Yes. When booking you can enter several codes, and in My account all saved vouchers are added together.
What if the amount isn't enough, or there's some left over?
If it isn't enough, you pay the rest by card, or in cash at reception. If something is left over, the remaining value stays valid until the expiry date. You can check the remaining value at any time on the check page under Gift vouchers.
Do I get cash back?
No, a voucher is not paid out or exchanged back. If you bought it online, you can withdraw from the purchase within 14 days, as long as nothing has been redeemed yet.
How does the recipient get the voucher?
You decide when you buy: straight away as a PDF to print, by email at a date of your choice, for example on 24 December at 8, or both. You always receive the receipt by email immediately.
I've lost the code.
The code is in the purchase email and on the PDF. If the voucher is saved in My account, it can't get lost. Otherwise reception can help with a name and the purchase date.
Can I use my own photo or an AI image?
Yes. With the AI custom design, three keywords produce a drawn picture in a poster style, not a photo. You can also use your own photo: only your own photos, people only with their consent, and no unlawful content. An automatic check looks at every photo as soon as it is uploaded; if it rejects it, we tell you straight away and you choose another picture. The photo appears only on the voucher, never on the website.
